Le temps musicalPierre Boulez Roland Barthes, Gilles Deleuze, Michel Foucault Le temps musical

 ________
      Yes us non musicans !

Posting two     parts of the same event   Deleuze Boulez Foucault Barthes etc   they are both from the same conference   __ a rare event in Deleuze's case!   ____he notoriously hated them __________

The reason for posting two  is that in one  the Deleuze part seems cut off , the you tuber who posted this to his station explains he was not able to get the entire original in one video. This is a  technical problem. In any case,
it's all here and it's fascinating __ each of the speakers is true to persona!

Boulez is the great musican of post ww2 France

and it's no Coincidence  as I see it the Name Boul e z      like Deleu z e     rymes on that

Z of

creation which Gd discusses   at the end of the ABCeDaire ....with C Parnet

Creation and Invention even at moments like this is wonderous to remark and take not we are always

given this beauty to co create
  we are co authors

  in the machine

. I came across it by accident, or mishap  some line of escape from the molar turf of youtube itself.
I call you tube molar because it is and has been a google product for a few years now and it's no the wild territory it once was..  yet every day millions of uploads continue and amazing wonderful things happen in spote of its  ongoing reterritialiaztion.  etc...

There is no English translation of the whole conference. At least not one that i know of. The English of Deleuze based on a hand written version is found in Letters and Other Texts published in 2020 Semiotexte Foreign Agent Series . It's strange to read it in that book as it's really out of context. So it's real find to have come across this video. Which as it turns started circulating 2 years ago.

Musical time ..  I hope to discover a n English transcription ofthis remarkable musical philosophical discussion  .

you can turn subtitles on in youtube &change the settings to English it's quite funny! it's often very accurate other times off the beam but you can put to it together from the pieces   i say this as my own french is far from perfect

o n the other hand it's very Anexact to quote A Thousand Plateaus!`

_______

Notably Deleuze starts the first part of his talk stating he's speaking as a  non musician Nous  non musicians ...
Also it's gets rowdy near the end as he's interrupted ! and there's a ruckus!   none ofthis happens with the other speakers...
