Gilles Deleuze Poster Exhibition
Closes in 9 days
At L'Institut Franco-Japonais de Tokyo
Media: Illustration
"The exhibition features posters based on the concepts of French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, especially those ideas which often recurred in his work. The choice of concepts to be illustrated was arbitrary by necessity, as Deleuze's philosophy was rich in ideas. The ideas which could not be included would have inspired completely different kinds of work. Deleuze's writing often took the form of aphorisms and short fragments, and these texts are featured in the posters. However, readers can find a deep continuity which runs through Deleuze's writing and which connects these fragments. Thus, there is not definitive order for Deleuze's
writing, and they can be viewed separately as visual art."
T'was not Je who authored those rather splendid inaccurate anexacting lines above. I do believe it was write in Japanese then possible translated to English.
This exhibition and the accompanying booklet feature lines taken from the vast "galleries" of Deleuze's philosophy.
